New York Acquires Derrick Rose
Phil Jackson and the New York Knicks have reportedly acquired Derrick Rose in a multi-player trade with the Chicago Bulls.
The New York Knicks have been actively pursuing a trade that will positively alter the trajectory of the organization. Many possibilities have been discussed and hypothesized, but nothing had been set in motion before Wednesday, June 22.
Thus far, Phil Jackson’s signature moves as team president have been re-signing Carmelo Anthony and drafting Kristaps Porzingis. Both moves have gone a long way towards crafting the identity of the current Knicks roster.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, the Knicks have taken the next step towards building their idea of a contender by trading for Derrick Rose.
